Individual Aural Rehab

Individual Aural Rehabilitation therapy is conducted by a Developmental Therapist – Hearing or a Speech Language Pathologist who is trained in listening and spoken language development. To be successful with hearing aids or a cochlear implant, a child requires intensive aural rehabilitation so that they can learn to listen and understand what they hear. While the frequency and duration of therapy may differ for each child, it is necessary to help the family understand what the child is hearing with their assistive listening device. A variety of techniques are used to teach children and their families how to optimize their listening skills in all environments.

Aural Rehabilitation Therapy is provided in both Home and Center Based environments.
